I'm 37, and I fix the things in my home myself: the dripping tap, the tripped breaker, the boiler that throws an error code at the worst possible moment.
Nobody handed me a special talent for it. Like many of us, I just got tired of feeling anxious every time something broke in my own home, and deeply tired of paying inflated quotes to people who held all the answers. I learned that most of these repairs were never inherently complicated, the instructions, the confusing jargon, and the industry itself were just designed to keep people like us out.

So, I decoded the system. I wrote this guide for anyone who was historically left out of the conversation.
